Our Favorite New Year’s Eve Destinations in the US

Saying goodbye to 2019 and clinking glasses in celebration of what 2020 brings, New Year’s Eve is easily one of the most exciting days of the year. Celebrate this special night in some of the best NYE destinations in the US.

Los Angeles, California

Besides the fact that you won’t be freezing as you watch the magical firework display, Los Angeles is a great NYE destination for its chic party scene. Plus, L.A. offers something for every taste and budget. There are club crawls and exclusive parties as well as free events like at Grand Park with live music, food vendors, and plenty of celebrating to go around.

Chicago, Illinois

Though it’s going to be brutally cold up north in Chicago, you’ll feel cozy surrounded by good company, a range of events, and a pretty spectacular firework show. Head to Navy Pier for family fun, vendors, entertainment and a unique firework display over Lake Michigan.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Get your party on in one of the US’s best party cities. Las Vegas is a top New Year’s Eve destination and you’ll have to head to the Las Vegas Strip to truly dive into all the fun this city has to offer. As they shut down the entire strip to cars and traffic, the street becomes a massive block party. Witness a spectacular firework show at midnight, too.

New York City, New York

Worldwide New York City is famous for its New Year’s Eve celebrations. The ball drop in Times Square is legendary, and millions tune in on TV to witness the drop. Imagine seeing it real life instead! Of course, NYC also offers fantastic bars, clubs, and restaurants for bringing in the new year. Plus, there’s plenty of concerts and romantic cruises to partake in as well.

New Orleans, Louisiana

After Mardi Grau’s, New Year’s Eve is the best party to be had in New Orleans. Street performers, live music, and drinking on Bourbon Street makes this US city a fantastic NYE destination. Also, head to Jackson Square for the city’s biggest party with live entertainment and fireworks.

Miami, Florida

Soak up the sun as you ring in the new year Miami style. This vibrant city makes for a great New Year’s Eve destination for beach lovers. Head to South Beach for the best party scene. You’ll enjoy celebrating under the stars on the beach with plenty of fireworks.
